YOUR GLOBAL CONNECTION
In today's environmentally responsible marketplace, companies who want to be competitive need a comprehensive recycling resource with the equipment and expertise to support a profitable program. Rand-Whitney Recycling offers the complete solution.
Rand-Whitney Recycling receives, sorts, and bales all grades of waste paper including old corrugated containers (OCC), newsprint (ONP), mixed-use office paper (SOP), pulp, and envelope cuttings. We buy and sell cull, job lot, and distressed roll stock in paper and board grades, as well as surplus and over-run corrugated cartons. We also cut books and convert obsolete text. Our state-of-the-art recycling and packaging operations provide select close-the-loop recycling opportunities for your business, streamlining the reuse of your own waste material into custom packaging materials.
Rand-Whitney Recycling processes more than 240,000 tons per year of secondary paper fibers, supplying waste paper for export and domestic consumption at Rand-Whitney's Containerboard division--another example of how Rand-Whitney's paper and packaging manufacturing groups are totally integrated.
THE LOCAL ADVANTAGE
Rand-Whitney Recycling currently owns and operates three paper recovery facilities, strategically located throughout New England in Woburn and Worcester, Massachusetts and Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Our operational efficiency minimizes your wait times and expedites turnaround.
Rand-Whitney Recycling also owns and operates a $125 million high-performance paper mill in Connecticut where we manufacture and sell annually 250,000 tons of recycled linerboard used in corrugated boxes. One of the most environmentally friendly paper mills in the world, this facility uses 800 tons of recovered corrugated cases and 1,200,000 gallons of post consumer wastewater per day to produce containerboard. To integrate Rand-Whitney's supply chain, our paper mill produces our box plants with their most important raw material. We also have our own 15-megawatt steam co-generation plant to produce 100% of our own power, further integrating our operation.
